Imagine your child being able to fill your home with music, express emotions through music, and play for family and friends, community, church.
Variety can be the key to maintaining the enthusiasm that drives the hard work of mastering an instrument. So I provide opportunities to learn or perform in various ways. Though the training is classical, I enjoy teaching (and playing!) all the musical styles, from the classics and sacred to broadway and popular music. My students also have the opportunity to play the Clavinova for experimenting with recorded accompaniment, rhythms and synthesized instruments. In addition to private lessons, I invite my students to gather in group classes periodically to play for and encourage one another. Technology in the studio adds dimensions of theory, ear training, and music history. We participate in music festivals, competitions and recitals, playing solo or in duets, trios or quartets.
